Welcome β€” we're so glad you're here.

Whether you're new to Concord, new to church, or coming back after time away, come as you are. Here's everything you need to know for your first Sunday at Trinity.

Your First Sunday

Two services, one warm welcome

Both Sunday services are a celebration of Holy Eucharist (Communion). Choose the one that suits you β€” or your family's schedule.

8:00 AM
Holy Eucharist
Historic Chapel Β· Chapel entrance (#3)

A quiet, spoken service with no music. The intimate scale of the Chapel makes this a good fit if you appreciate stillness and a contemplative pace.

Quiet & reflectiveNo music
10:00 AM
Holy Eucharist with Choir
Main Church Β· Chapel in June – August

Trinity's principal Sunday service, with our choir and organ. Children are always welcome; nursery care and Church School are available too. Coffee hour follows.

Which door?

8:00 AM: enter through the Chapel entrance (#3 on the map), off the path from Elm Street.
10:00 AM: enter through the Main Church entrance on Elm Street (#1). An usher will hand you a bulletin that guides you through the service.
Summer (June – August): the 10:00 service moves to the Chapel, so use the Chapel entrance (#3).

Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early

It's the best way to find parking close by and get settled β€” especially if you're bringing children to the nursery or Church School.

Want to look first?

The 10:00 AM service is livestreamed every week. Watch online to get a feel for worship at Trinity before you visit.

Getting Here & Parking

Parking is mostly on the street

Trinity's Sunday parking is primarily on-street parking. Here's where to look, in order:

  1. First choice

Elm Street, right in front of the church

Spaces on both sides of Elm Street. Arrive about 15 minutes early and you'll usually find one here.

  2. Next, try

    River Street

A limited number of street spaces alongside the church.

  3. Running late?

Keep heading west on Elm Street

Continue down Elm Street toward the bridge, where there's usually parking available. It's an easy five-minute walk back to the church.

β™Ώ Need to be close? Trinity has two small lots β€” one on River Street and one behind the church off Main Street β€” set aside for anyone with mobility needs. Both are handicap accessible, and all of Trinity's buildings and restrooms are fully accessible. We ask everyone else to park on the street so these spaces stay open for those who need them.

For the 8:00 AM service, use entrance 3 (Chapel). For 10:00 AM, use entrance 1 (Main Church, on Elm Street); in June – August, when it moves to the Chapel, use 3. For step-free access, use entrance 4 from the Main Street lot, or 2 by the River Street lot (with a lift inside). Parking near the Elm Street bridge is a short walk west, off the left edge of the map.

Bringing Children

Children are welcome here β€” wiggles and all

Children of every age and stage are welcome in the pews with their families, any Sunday. Nursery care is also available every Sunday, and children can join Church School downstairs on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays.

Once a month β€” and more

Family Worship Sundays

The whole family worships together on the first Sunday of every month β€” our "All-In Sunday" β€” as well as any fifth Sunday, holiday weekend, or school vacation (we follow the Concord school calendar). On these days there's no Church School; children stay in church with their families, some serving as readers, acolytes, or ushers, or singing with the Young Singers.

In the pews

Ask for a Bean-Bag

As you come in, ask an usher in the Narthex (the entry hall) for a Bean-Bag filled with coloring books and quiet activities. Forgot to grab one? Kids are welcome to slip back to the Narthex for a bag anytime during the service.

If you'd like, our nursery and Church School offer age-appropriate, safe spaces for children to learn and grow with friends their own age.

Infants through age 4

Nursery care

Two vetted, Safe Church–certified adult caregivers welcome little ones every Sunday during the 10:00 service, in a clean, cheerful room with a professional air purifier. Parents who'd rather stay can watch the service on a TV in the nursery, and are always welcome to come upstairs for Communion.

Kindergarten – Grade 5

Church School

On other Sundays, children gather for Godly Play β€” hands-on Bible stories told with wooden figures, followed by "wondering" together. Then they head upstairs to receive Communion with their families.

Getting there

Follow the signs downstairs

Once inside, follow the Nursery & Church School signs down to the lower level. The children's rooms are at the back of the building. Classes start at 10:00, and children come up to join their families for Communion.

What to Expect

A few things newcomers often wonder

Can I receive Communion?

"All are welcome at God's table."

That's how we invite everyone to Communion each Sunday. Gluten-free bread is available β€” just ask the priest at the communion rail. If you'd rather not receive, you're welcome to come forward for a blessing or simply remain in your seat.

Will I know what to do?

You don't need any experience. The bulletin you'll receive at the door walks you through the service β€” when to stand, sit, and what to say or sing. Follow along at your own pace; no one is keeping score.

What should I wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in. Come as you are.

Is there time to meet people?

Yes! Stay for coffee hour after the 10:00 AM service β€” coffee, tea, and a chance to linger. It's where visitors become members, and members become friends.

Is the church accessible?

All of Trinity's buildings and spaces are fully accessible, including restrooms, with designated accessible parking in our two small lots on River Street and behind the church.

Will I be welcome?

Yes. Trinity is an affirming and welcoming community β€” we welcome all beloved children of God regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, or background.
