Middle & High School
Trinity's Youth Group is open to all middle and high school students. We gather regularly for fellowship, faith exploration, service projects, and plain old fun. Whether you've grown up in the church or are exploring Christianity for the first time, you are welcome here exactly as you are.
Our gatherings mix lively conversation about faith and life with community building activities. Young people are encouraged to ask the questions that matter to them — there are no wrong questions here. Over the course of the year, the group participates in parish events, engages in local service, and occasionally takes on special outreach projects together.
Young people at Trinity are welcomed into the full life of the congregation — not as the future of the church, but as part of it right now.
A Milestone of Faith
Confirmation is an opportunity for young people to explore their faith, ask their deepest questions, and make an informed, personal decision about affirming their baptismal covenant in the Episcopal Church. Our Confirmation class is an engaging, discussion-based journey — not a lecture series — where no question is off the table.
The class meets over several months, covering the basics of Anglican theology and practice, the meaning of the sacraments, the history of the church, and what it means to live a life shaped by faith. Classes are led by Dr. Brian Litzenberger, our Interim Minister for Youth & Families, and draw on the richness of the Episcopal tradition.
The Confirmation service is a highlight of Trinity's liturgical year.
Thursday Afternoons
Trinity's Young Singers program is open to students in grades 2 through 10, following the Royal School of Church Music model. For older students — grades 5 and up — the program offers a deeper engagement with choral music, Anglican chant, and the historic repertoire of the church.
Older singers take on more significant roles in the Sunday liturgy, singing with the Adult Choir on special occasions and developing the vocal and musical skills to serve as choral leaders for years to come. The program is as much about character and community as it is about music.
Young Singers eventually join the Adult Choir for special services, carrying on Trinity's rich choral tradition.
Throughout the Year
Beyond weekly programs, Trinity's youth take part in some of the most beloved traditions of our parish year — moments that bring every generation together.
All IN Sunday is a parish-wide celebration held on the first Sunday of every month, bringing children, youth, and adults together for a special integrated worship experience. Youth play a central role — as readers, leaders, and participants in every part of the liturgy. It is one of the most energizing Sundays in Trinity's regular worship life.
Trinity's Christmas Pageant is a cherished annual tradition. Youth and children of all ages are invited to take on roles — angels, shepherds, magi, the Holy Family — in a joyful retelling of the Nativity story. The pageant is held during the Christmas season and fills the sanctuary with laughter, wonder, and the delight of the whole congregation.
