Trinity’s new Rector

The Vestry announces, with great pleasure, that they have called the Rev. Nancy J. Hagner to be the twelfth Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. She has accepted our call and will begin her ministry with us on October 1st.

Nancy is Associate Rector at Trinity Church, Princeton, New Jersey, where she has served for the past six years in various roles. Trinity Princeton has 1,200-1,500 parishioners with between 400 and 500 people in attendance each Sunday at four different services. She comes  with the highest of recommendations from her colleagues, and received unanimous support from both our Search Committee and Vestry.

Those who have gotten to know Nancy over the past months of interviews and visits believe that she is the right leader for our parish at this time. Rooted in our shared broad church worship style with a passion for the Book of Common Prayer, Nancy has developed new programs and enacted changes to worship at Trinity Princeton that have attracted new attendance and deepened the worship life of that community. She has experience and interest in strengthening Christian formation for all ages. Nancy is deeply involved in outreach and pastoral care, is an engaging preacher and a collaborative leader.

Nancy has tremendous energy and enthusiasm and loves being a priest. The priesthood is a second career for her; she was previously in the business world including time as a Vice President of Wealth Management at Bank of America. No stranger to New England, Nancy is a graduate of Wellesley College and has family in this area. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.

The Rev. Nancy J. Hagner will enable Trinity to continue to deepen our faith and mission as a community, and grow in strength and numbers while serving as the Body of Christ in Concord and beyond.
