Trinity’s 2nd Annual Soup-er Bowl Food Pantry Drive

Grades 5-8 church school classes invites you to vote for your favorite team in the Super Bowl by placing food pantry items in either the Patriot’s or Ram’s collection boxes located in the narthex on or before Sunday, February 3. All donations will be brought to the altar on a three-tier cart. Demand at our local food pantry has increased as federal employees affected by the shutdown are welcome at Open Table. Last week Open Table served 17 households (over 80 people represented) from Hanscom and the Boston Coast Guard base. Items in high demand are: • Cereal (whole grain, low sugar preferred) • Oatmeal or whole grain hot cereals • Jam/Jelly • Coffee (ground/instant, not pods) • Tea/hot chocolate • Almond/soy milk (shelf stable) • White tuna in water • Soup (hearty, kid-friendly, vegetarian and/or cream style) • Stews and other canned meat • Pasta sauce (marinara, with meat and/or veggies) • Soups• Side dishes (pilaf, noodles, whole grain) • Gluten-free side dishes/foods of any type • Nuts, dried fruits, snack mixes • Personal care health items for adults (toothpaste, liquid soap, shampoo) • Diapers for infants/ children (any size) • Paper bags with handles.
