Summer Worship for Children

Join us for Summer Worship for Children.

From June 23 – September 8, we offer Word Walks for Children every Sunday during the 10 am service.

Children, ages 10 & under, are invited to:

  • Worship with families at the start of the 10 am service
  • Use this week’s children’s bulletin and other materials found at the Kid’s Table in the narthex
  •  Walk behind the cross during the hymn before the Gospel
  • Hear God’s Word in the Undercroft and return to families at the Peace.

This summer we will follow the lectionary readings using Lesson Plans That Work, a free-online curriculum published by The Episcopal Church. We begin every week with a reminder that “as Easter children we will look at what Jesus taught his disciples and see what is in these teachings for us as we carry out the work we have been given to do.  Jesus promised us an Advocate, the Holy Spirit, who would stand with us, enable us to allay our fears, and replace them with the powerful energy of love.”  If your children miss a week, you may share the lesson with your children at home:   http://episcopaldigitalnetwork.com/lessons/liturgical-calendar/ (Proper 8 – 18).

Children who are four years old and younger are welcome to worship, or use the Nursery from 10 am – 11:30 am.
