I am starting this new topic so that we can post our research for us all to see and read. We can leave the Beijing Forum subject for comments and not clog it up with articles we find.

I have come across videos from the "Women in the World Summit" that we all must listen to. So many issues, so many places and so many women are covered and it will give us a taste for what we are called to do. Take an evening and listen to them all. These are all great and a must see...

Note from Winn Wilbur...

The Friendship Bridge (se web site: www.friendshipbridge.org ) is a group of women here and in Guatamala -- it helps provide microcredit for businesses and educate women about health issues and finance...so they can get their children into school.
A friend I met in at New Orleans work week told me about this--and I could get more details from her once in get back on the 21st, if others are interested. The children make wonderful note coards which are sold to raise money for the cause...

blurb :" Friendship Bridge's educational programs truly strengthen our goal of helping women find their own solutions to poverty."  They start small businesses ( a bakery, a company which provides food for large meetings and wedding parties, etc...)
so-- look at the site, if you're interested-- and I'll se you all soon!
