I am delighted to announce that Jonathan Ashley will join Trinity on Sept. 19 as our new Director of Operations and Communications. Jon comes to Trinity most recently from Boston University School of Theology. Originally from England but now a newly-minted American citizen, Jon has spent his career overseeing the operation of ministries on both sides of the Atlantic. Jon and his wife Michelle – who is a United Methodist pastor in Leominster – have been married for eight years. Last year, Jon and Michelle welcomed their daughter, Esme (pronounced Es-may), who turns one later this month. In his spare time, Jon enjoys sports, reading, and baking bread.
In his new, full-time role at Trinity, Jon will manage the daily operations in the parish office, working with clergy and staff to develop our systems of management and communication in the service of our mission.
Trinity’s office hours will continue Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. That is the time when Trinity volunteers will be present to greet you and answer the phones. Jon’s schedule, at least for now, will be Monday through Thursday, to give us time when the office is closed to work on management systems and projects. I know we will be blessed by Jon’s presence and the many gifts and skills he brings. Please join me in welcoming Jon to Trinity Church!
Special thanks to Human Resource Committee Chairs, Carolyn Coffin and Patsy Eickelberg and to Rev. Becky, who shepherded the interview process and found Jon for us. Also a big thank you to the volunteers who are creating our Weekday Welcome Team in the office. Please thank them when you see them. Please direct any questions about the new office configuration to me at hagner [at] trinityconcord [dot] org.
May God continue to bless us in this new season at Trinity Church. See you on Sunday as we launch our fall season of ministry together.
Peace and blessings,
