Children’s Ministries

“The Good Shepherd”

During a Play & Pray session, our children were asked to bring Psalm 23 to life through Legos. The picture shown is their representation of “green pastures” and “still waters” with sheep (all of us) grazing. Meanwhile the VERY, VERY, VERY tall shepherd (Jesus) must stand high above in order to watch over us!!! Such insight from our young ones!!!

Sunday, May 26:  At 10 am, children worship with their families.  During the hymn before the Gospel, they are invited to follow the cross to the Undercroft to hear and respond to the Word. We’ll be talking about Ascension Day, and preparing for Pentecost Sunday (June 9) by making mobiles for the sanctuary, Trinity’s lawn, and for their home.

Sunday, June 9: It’s Pentecost Sunday! Children are asked to come early to be part of the Procession and to wave Pentecost fire sticks. Afterwards, they join their families for worship.

Sunday, June 16: Children will learn about “the Trinity” during 10 am church school. This is the LAST class until September. Join us after the service for ice cream and help us show our appreciation for our teachers.

June 23 – August 25:  Children worship with their families. We offer Kids’ Word Walks for ages 10 & under in the middle of the service.  During the hymn before the Gospel, children follow the cross and walk downstairs to hear and respond to the Word. We will return at the Peace. During the summer, nursery will be available for 4 year olds and under.
