On February 3rd we will have One Service at 9am followed by our Annual Meeting (around 10:15 am).
All are encouraged to come and be a part of this important gathering!
While the youth and adults hear about this past year in our church, review the budget, and vote in new leadership . . .
A Special Children’s Program for ages 4 & up will be offered during the Annual Meeting. We’ll celebrate Candlemas, the 40th day after Christmas. It marks the day when baby Jesus was presented to God at the temple and Simeon proclaims he has, “seen the Savior…a light to enlighten the nations…” We’ll tell the story, watch a short film (Angela and the Baby Jesus), create Christingles and learn of their significance through song, and hope to join you at the end of the annual meeting with our Christingles lit! . Nursery is available for the young ones, too!
The significance of Christingles:
Orange: creation of the world
Candle: light of Christ, God revealed in our world Red Ribbon: The cross and blood from Christ’s sacrifice
4 toothpicks: Christ’s love extends in all directions Dried fruits: the fruits of the spirit that enable us to share God’s love with others.
